Agriculture Conference Allows Afghan Businesswomen to Share their Experiences On September 24, IDEA-NEW sponsored Advancing Afghan Women in Agriculture conference in Kabul. More than 250 women participated in the event. Twenty five women-owned companies, ranging from producers of jam, pickles, fresh vegetables, wheat starch, wool spinning, textiles, clothing and handicraft companies displayed their production and marketing capabilities to potential buyers, key representatives from MAIL, the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, and financial institutions. “This conference is very effective and beneficial for women.
